Speakaboos - Kids Reading App App Reviews

Thank goodness for this app. Not only has Speakaboos fueled my sons vehicle obsession, but it gets him excited about reading and learning. I love that he can easily navigate it and find stories himself, and we can use the Read it Myself mode to read together.

Deceptive.

This app is NOT free. I hate it when I download a "free" app, only to find that you literally cant play anything without purchasing a subscription.

Love the new holiday theme. New stories as well! Keep em coming, great work.

My daughter really likes the app which is the only reason Im giving it more than one star. It seems ok to me as a parent. The problem is that she uses it for a time during the day and the next day when we start up the app it never gets past the start-up screen. I have to delete the app and re-download every time I reopen it. We are only doing the free trial so Im glad we didnt purchase it.

Get ABC Mouse much better value and customer service. The price for this does not equal the quality.

It showed were the wild things are then after trial/purchase there is no such book. The read to me is very fast and no way of slowing it down- not worth the money!

My daughter loves speakaboos but the newest version always gets stuck and I have to delete the app and reinstall everyday. It gets stuck on adding new stories or on the speakaboos blue screen.

This app is not free because it does nothing unless you pay money. Its just a subscription window that pops up when you try to do anything.

I use this for bedtime reading with my son. Sometimes we pick new stories, but he really like the Robot stories because he can tap on the character and choose different actions. Its like a choose your own adventure book, but better!

This app is great...if youre a parent who is too lazy to read your kid an actual book and you for some reason havent realized that Netflix can distract your kid as well as anything else while you do anything but interact with him/her.

I tried the app because they said theres a "free trial" period! So before the free trial period date ended, I unsubscribed so that I wont be charged for the following month. After doing so, I have also deleted the app. Imagine my surprise when I saw that They charged me $77 for something they claim to be "FREE?!"

My 6 and 3 year old can sit down and enjoy a 30 minute to 2 hour Speakaboos session whenever they choose. Great for car rides, plane rides or home days. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed. You can download it for free but pay a monthly fee.

My students love this app. They cant wait to use it in daily reading centers. The read to me feature is so wonderful for emergent readers. It helps them practice their skills, but still enjoy a great story. One of the best educational apps I have ever used.

My Godson is just learning to read and Speakaboos is a so wonderful resource to help him fall in love with reading. He uses it daily, reads along with the stories and the interactivity keeps him highly engaged.
